Nearly pirate time!

The Gippsland Gamers school holiday program kicks off this week with Pirate's Treasure on Thursday!

Session details:
1-3PM
Ages: 8+
Coal Creek, Silkstone Road, Korumburra.
Bookings: 5655 1811 or via email.

Print & Play Thursday

It will be no surprise to those who know me to learn that I am in love with print and play games. Well, I have just finished making a copy of Agora using full page labels and cardboard in the manner suggested by Cheap Ass games. I have also just printed up a set of generic money to go with any future print and play projects. Now all I need is a good collection of generic tokens and counters in a range of colours.
This Thrusday looks like being a bit of a print and play day- I will bring Agora, plus a few other nice, free games.

Got any Print & Play games you want to play? Seen any cool looking PNP games on Board Game Geek, but lack the intestinal fortitude to try making them yourself? Desperate to play Smash Monster Rampage, and just need that little nudge to push you over the top into making it? I've just bought a metric bucket load of PNP materials including 100 full page labels and a whole bunch of thick cardboard for making tiles. Use the comments to suggest PNP games you want to see at Gippsland Gamers in the future. Remember, just because it's free doesn't mean it can't be the most amazing thing you've ever played!

Thursday 31st: Horror Games.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 31st- Halloween! So we'll be cracking out the horror themed games.
I'll bring Elder Sign (and try to remember how to play it!) as well as some entertaining looking new print+play games. If I haven't gone and left it at my Parents' house, (a strong possibility!) I'll also bring in my Fanticide Witchcraft themed army for some learn-to-play action. Fanticide is a simple, quick and intuitive miniatures skirmish game. It's good. And my army is mostly scarecrows.

Come for the games. Stay for the ghoulery!

We're almost out of chocolate...

If you haven't been to Gippsland Gamers in the last two weeks, then you really should come to our next session on the 31st... because we're almost out of chocolate!
You don't want to miss out on chocolate do you?
Thought not.

Thursday 10 October 2013

I now declare the club OPEN! (also free chocolate.)

Gippsland Gamers will hold it's first ever meeting on Thursday, October 17th at Coal Creek! Come and join in this great, historic occasion from 4-9PM. We'll be in the Mechanics Institute hall.
This auspicious event will be heralded by fire works, marching bands, dancing maidens strewing flower petals and... what do you mean, we don't have that kind of money? Err... Correction. This auspicious event will be heralded by free chocolate.
Come for the games. Stay for the geekery.

Introducing Gippsland Gamers!

Coal Creek is proud to announce the foundation of Gippsland Gamers! A club for Wargamers, Role Players, Board Gamers and player of all manner of geek gaming goodness in Gippsland.
Starting very soon, the club will meet weekly at Coal Creek in Korumburra for five hours of magnificently nerdy gaming action. At last Gippy Geeks will have somewhere to congregate and talk to like minded individuals (before crushing them utterly on the wargames table!)
We aim to be an inclusive and friendly club, providing somewhere for local gamers to play and get to know one another, regardless of age or ability. We will run teaching and participation games for the neophytes, and supply a range of wargames tables and terrain for the experienced generals. There will also be board gaming, card gaming and role playing happening each week, so pop down for an evening of geeky gaming goodness!
